Gwen

Welcome to Pilates with Gwen. I am a Body Control Pilates teacher from New Zealand, based in London.  

During my 29-year dance career, Pilates has not only supported and challenged my body but has also rehabilitated it from injury. My love of movement, and a keen interest in the anatomy behind movement, has been my driving force in pursuing my Pilates career.

In my classes I use the knowledge and experience from my dance life as well as from my Pilates training to inform and enhance my Pilates teaching, adding my own creative touch to all of my classes.

We'll work towards building deep strength, control, improved alignment, enhanced mobility, flexibility and finding flowing movement.

I enjoy teaching people from all backgrounds and helping them to find their true movement potential. Not just those who use their body for dance or sport, but those who want to live an active healthy life regardless of their age and profession.

Body Control Pilates

Body Control Pilates is widely seen as a symbol of excellence in Pilates with its innovative training programmes for teachers. Renowned for safe and effective teaching of the highest quality. I completed my Leve 3 training with Body Control Pilates in 2017 and I am currently working towards my Level 4 Pilates qualification.

 Classes

Every week I teach a variety of online Pilates classes and a beginners ballet class too. My classes range from beginners through to intermediate level, so there is a level to suit everyone.

Those who join my classes are all ages and abilities with one thing in common, to become the best version of themselves they can be. From those who need their bodies for a dance career to those who want to be able to lead a busy life in their retirement years. Pilates can enhance your physical and mental wellbeing no matter who you are.
